Bergamot Oil, FCF

from SGD 18.00

In a diffuser it produces an uplifting, refreshingly astringent atmosphere. This may assist in reducing anxiety and depression. As an ingredient in lotions and massage oils it can help reduce tension. Well-diluted in a facial or body oil, Bergamot's anti-septic and anti-fungal properties can be helpful for acne, and problem skin conditions. A few drops in a sitz bath or regular bath can also be beneficial. It is very popular as a perfume ingredient both in commercial and home recipes. Blends well with: Cypress, Sandalwood, Juniper, Coriander, Black Pepper, Ginger, Clary Sage, Rosemary and Frankincense. It blends very well with other citrus oils as well as floral's FCF = Furocoumarin Free, which designates a rectified essential oil from which the furocoumarins have been removed. Furocoumarins are a class of organic compounds that are produced by a variety of plants. This is the bergamot to use if you will be heading out into the sun after applying it. * Fractionation is a method of re-distilling the inital yield of oil material so as to purify / remove unwanted elements (in this case the Bergaptene which contains the furocoumarins in Bergamot oil)
